[field_reviewtext] => I always struggled with keeping my knives sharp. I love this product because it is so much easier to have a razor sharp knife for skinning or butchering. The only gripe I have about it is that it’s kinda hard to clean. I’ve had a couple hog hairs stuck in the mechanism for two years now. I’ve tried using tweezers but I still can’t get them out. It doesn’t bother me and it certainly doesn’t effect the performance of the blade so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars.

[field_reviewtext] => This past fall I used the 3.0 Razorcape to break down two bull elk. Even at its smaller size it was more than capable of getting the job done. The blades are extra thick and I had no fear of breaking blades while breaking down my animals. When the blades become dull it is simple and easy to swap out blades to a new one and continue working. The blaze orange handle is nice and very visible when I set it down. No fear of losing it. It also provides a good grip when my hands get bloody. The convenient carry case holds the knife and extra blades.

[field_reviewtext] => I have two of these knives. The blades are thicker than other replaceable blade knives on the market. Which I prefer. I do not worry about breaking a blade off while breaking down an animal. The blades hold an edge very well. I have completely quartered and de-boned an entire elk with just two blades. Deer and antelope sized game can easily be broken down with a single blade.
The blades are simple to change out. Simply push a small button and pull the blade straight out. Sometimes the blade can get gummed up with fat and blood and require a little more force to get them to release.
I love that it comes in a flo orange color so I am not constantly looking for it after I set it on the ground.
The EDC clip does not work well for me. Once clipped into my pocket, the knife is to bulky for my personal tastes. I carry the knife and a few extra blades in my kill kit located in my pack.
Overall a great hunting knife that won’t break the bank.

[field_reviewtext] => I have 3 of these knives. First of all, the blades are razor sharp out of the packages. Ive caped and quartered easily over 30-40 critters using this knife system. One blade is good for 1 deer. start to finish.
and this is where the headache starts...
the release button and the slot in the tang where the blades slide in and out, gets easily gunked up with fat, hair and blood. It regularly requires a set of pliers and a screw driver to remove the old blades.
ive soaked them over night in dawn with no better luck.
Ive tried to keep them as clean as possible to facillitate easier removal... doesnt seem to help. any amount of debris getting into that groove, or into the retention system is going to hinder replacement.
i love the knife, however they need to rethink the blade retention system.
