With the introduction of my kids into hunting I needed a stable platform for them to shoot from. With them being smaller in stature it was hard for them to get steady on a rifle with a traditional tripod. Once I got the Deathgrip their shooting capabilities went up greatly. The rubber coated jaws on the head will hold a rifle securely and will not mark up the rifle stock. The adjustable head will pan smoothly allowing you to track game in your scope. You can adjust the legs to create a shooting platform from prone all the way to standing. It can be a little tricky to get level but with the onboard sight level and a little practice it can be easily done. It is a touch on the heavy side. It is not a tripod I will take on a backcountry hunt. But I will pack it on my kids hunts to allow them the best chance of success in the field.
