When packing heavy loads trekking poles are a must to help you maintain stability coming off the mountain. The Alps Momentum Trekking poles are a great option. Made out of carbon fiber means they are lightweight. When not in use I can easily strap them to my pack and I will not even notice the added weight there. When it comes time to use them they quickly deploy and adjust to the desired height. The locking mechanisms hold strong and will not require constant readjustment like some other poles I’ve used in the past.
